CourtPulse Privacy Policy
CourtPulse is a scorekeeping app for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. It is designed to work locally during real matches and to keep score without requiring an account.
Summary
CourtPulse does not collect personal data for the developer. The app does not include advertising, analytics SDKs, third-party tracking SDKs, or user accounts.
Match data that you enter, such as player names, team names, scores, rules, match history, and settings, is stored locally on your devices. If you enable Live Sync, match events may be sent directly between your nearby Apple devices using Apple system frameworks such as WatchConnectivity and MultipeerConnectivity. This data is not sent to CourtPulse servers.
Information You May Enter
You may choose to enter player names, team names, match rules, match scores, match history, and app settings. This information is stored locally on your device so the app can restore the current match, show history, and calculate statistics.
Live Sync
Live Sync is optional and off by default. When enabled, CourtPulse may transfer match events and score state between your own nearby devices, such as Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPad. CourtPulse does not operate a server for this feature and does not receive your match data.
Local Network Permission
CourtPulse may request local network access when Live Sync is enabled so nearby iPhones or iPads can discover and update scoreboards. This permission is not used for tracking.
Apple Watch Connectivity
CourtPulse uses Apple Watch connectivity to send score events between Apple Watch and iPhone when Live Sync is enabled. Delivery may depend on Apple system behavior, device reachability, and battery conditions.
Data Collection
CourtPulse does not collect data from this app for the developer.
- Data Collected: None
- Data Used to Track You: No
This statement assumes the released app remains free of analytics, advertising, third-party SDK tracking, server-side sync, and account systems. If those features are added later, this policy and App Store privacy answers must be updated before release.
Data Sharing
CourtPulse does not sell your data. CourtPulse does not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. If you enable Live Sync, score events may be shared locally between your own nearby devices for the purpose of showing and controlling the match score.
Data Retention and Deletion
Match history and settings remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. You can delete match history in the app. You can also delete all app data by deleting CourtPulse from your device.
Children
CourtPulse is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Security
CourtPulse stores match data locally using Apple platform storage APIs. Live Sync uses Apple system connectivity frameworks for local transfer. No method of storage or transmission is perfect, but CourtPulse is designed to minimize data exposure by avoiding developer-operated servers and tracking systems.
Changes
This policy may be updated if the app changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
